I have been lucky enough to have one of my favourite bracelets featured in Vintage Life magazine! This magazine is great for those of us that love all things Vintage! Features this month include vintage fashion, weddings and how to have the perfect vintage picnic! They have also featured my Summer Garden bracelet on the “I like it I like it” page which is just perfect for the gorgeous summery weather we are having at the minute.I purchased my copy from W H Smiths but their website tells you where copies are currently being stocked at the minute!

A belated congratulations to the newlywed William and Kate. I really enjoyed the day. The Wedding was beautiful and Kate was just gorgeous! We also indulged in some street part celebrations here in Manchester! Magical!

A trip to Chester Zoo!

Mark and I went on a trip to Chester Zoo on Thursday. I have to say it really was a fantastic day out, we enjoyed every minute! As we entered the Zoo we happened to be right on time for the Elephants having a bath, there were two little baby Elephants who were just a delight to watch! They seemed to be really enjoying being in the water as it was such a hot day and were even having a little play as they rolled around in the pool!

We also managed to see some really cute penguins who were playfully swimming about in the water. Luckily we managed to hear some interesting Penguin facts and how Chester Zoo is helping them survive and witness them being fed! Penguins are some of my favourite animals, it’s amazing how fast they can move especially went there are fish to be eaten!

After all the recent Meerkat hype I was really excited that we got to see some at Chester Zoo. I really couldn’t believe how tiny they are! This little fellow was perched on top of this mound looking out for the rest of his family!

One of my other favourite Chester Zoo experiences had to be the Butterfly Journey. You get to wonder around with some really beautiful exotic butterflies flying around you. I would have spent all day in there if I cold have! A word of a warning though do check yourself before you leave the butterfly journey as one had landed on Mark’s T-shirt and was quite happily sat there for a while. He did fly away before we left though!

We even managed to see a few living Dinosaurs!

Of course a visit to the Zoo is not complete without seeing some of the magnificent cats, unfortunately as it was so hot the Lions and Tigers were too busy lazying out of full view for us but we did manage to snap this impressive Cheetah who was quite content basking in the sun shine!

Another amazing part of the day was going through the bat tunnel which has lots and lots of fruit bats flying about in the dark! It’s quite exciting having them flying around you and luckily as they are so great at navigating they don’t hit you so there is no need to worry about that! As it was very dark in there and to protect the poor Bat’s eyes we were not able to take any pictures as it would have scared them! We also saw some Rhinos, I couldn’t believe how big and impressive they were, they were literally built like Tanks! Amazing!

If you ever get chance to visit Chester Zoo I would really recommend it! The animals are all treated well and seem happy there and its so nice to be able to see some of the more unusual animals that you wold never normally see! I want to go back already!
