Yesterday was the Great Manchester 10k Run! It was a fabulous day and although I was feeling a little nervous before the start, I really enjoyed it! The buzz of running around the course with people you don’t even know cheering you on and willing you to do well was fantastic! I managed to run in 1 hour 4 mins and 36 seconds which I was pretty pleased with as I had stupidly put myself in the wrong wave and found myself trying to get past people who were walking it. I have managed to raise £345 for Cancer research which I am more than happy with! I can’t wait to run again next year!

It’s just 4 days to go now until the Great Manchester 10k run which I have been training hard for! I have gone from not being able to even run a mile to now being able to run up to 10 miles without collapsing in a heap! It’s been hard sometimes, to find the time and energy but focusing on the reasons why I am running has really helped! As previously mentioned I am running in memory of my Nana who died last year from cancer. Loosing my Nana affected me greatly and I wanted to do something to help others who may suffer from this terrible illness. I’m running for cancer research and hope to raise as much as possible for such a worthy cause!
I’m really looking forward to the race on Sunday and hope to do everybody who has sponsored me proud! If you would like to help me raise money for cancer research please visit my Just Giving page. Thank you to everybody who has already helped I really appreciate all your help!
