It’s my birthday today, last night I went for a lovely meal with some friends and mark and today Mark took me on a shopping trip in Manchester town centre. Mark wasn’t sure what i wanted and wanted me to pick something I really like.
I love Vivienne Westwood jewellery but have never been lucky enough to own any. We went to The Vivienne Westwood store on King Street and I gasped in awe at all the beautiful jewellery in there. A very helpful assistant helped me choose which necklace I liked best and I settled on this stunning Sterling silver locket style Vivienne Westwood orb. It’s beautiful, Mark always feels a bit nervous buying me jewellery I think, because I make my own he finds it hard to find something that I really like, but I’m in love with this so thanks Mark!
We are going to see Old school Brit pop band skunk anansie tonight at the Manchester Acadamy. Mark also managed to get hold of some Yeah Yeah Yeah tickets for next Sunday, I really can’t wait for that one!

This Sterling silver and Swarovski crystals Locket opens up revealing heart shaped inscription in French “qu’hier-que demain” meaning: (I love you) more than yesterday less than tomorrow.

Oh my! What a night Mark and I had last night! First we saw the fabulous Klaxons support the Mighty Blur and then Blur themselves. The M.E.N is a great venue and boy does it get crowded but we went early and managed to get really close to the bands. Blur were Fabulous, singing old classics such as ‘There’s no other way’ and ‘She is so high’ to rip roaring newer hits like Coffee and TV and the belting ‘Song 2′. Damon gave tribute to the late Michael Jackson expressing his sadness and concern over media speculation throughout the stars life.
The band seemed genuinely pleased to be back on stage together and didn’t leave me feeling disappointed with their full two hour performance, including encore! One word… WOW!

Last Thursday Mark and me went to see The Rakes at The Manchester Club Academy. The Rakes are definitely in my Top Five! Mark isn’t all that bigger fan but he still really enjoyed the performance.

Mark and me went to see The Prodigy play live again on Friday, this time they played at the M.E.N Arena (Manchester Evening News Arena). It was FAB! This is the second time we have seen them and we just danced and danced all the way through it! We love the new album (Invaders Must Die) so couldn’t wait to see what they had in store and we were not disappointed! At one point Keith and ran passed us around the edge of the arena!
Here’s some of our video footage, please ignore my sweaty face I really was dancing my arse off!
Here’s Mark and me at the end. Tired out form all the dancing and shouting!
