I thought I would update you all on how Andre the Pygmy Hedgehog is doing. He is now 4 months old and is just adorable. He seems to have a liking for Mark (my partner’s) feet and can regularly be found trying to crawl up his trouser leg! We have also bought him a wheel and he seems to go on it all the time, apparently they can run 26 miles per night on a wheel!
Andre also has a big appetite and I regularly spoil him with Sunday dinner, scrambled eggs, mince and vegetables! Every night we wake him up at about 8pm and play with him although he doesn’t look too impressed when I force him to have kisses from me!
Here are some pics taken by our friend Adam. Adam is really great at photography and he also built this website for me!

Hi, sorry about a delay in posts but I have been so busy this last 2 weeks with the fairs, getting last minute orders out and prearing for my wonderful new pet’s arrival. We’ve named him Andre and he arrived on Sunday, having travelled from Hartlepool in the snow! (Well not actually in the snow, he was snuggled up in his box). He seems to be settling in quite well and in between sleeping is coming out for cuddles :o) Here’s a picture of him in his play tunnel, he’s coming up to 7 weeks old.

You may remember me mentioning the cute Pygmy hedgehogs in a previous post and the fact that Mark and I are getting one. Well I have news. I have been given an update from the breeder who has just had a litter of the little cuties. They are over 2 weeks old and about the size of an AA battery. Here are some cute pics to coo over in the mean time.

Andy who has been breeding Pygmy Hedgehogs for four years says my little boy should be ready around Christmas time. If you are interested in owning a little hedgehog Andy has three left looking for a new home from this litter. Email him at andy.breed69@googlemail.com or call 07599454844.

I’ve been a bit quiet since the weekend. During my days off work our poor family dog Sasha took a turn for the worst and we had to make the terrible decision to have her put to sleep yesterday. We’re all heart broken and the house just doesn’t feel the same without her. Every time I walk in it feels like there is something missing. She was too old to operate so the vet said it was for the best. I hope she’s at peace now.
Our other dog Billy looks a bit lost without her, but at least we have him to cheer us up. I’ll try and get a decent picture of him to put up! He’s a very cheeky fellow indeed.
Above is Sasha how I like to remember her best, in her pink T shirt which just summed her up… it had ‘Minx’ written on the back and a Minx she certainly was!
